PSU50, 5-Phase Step Motor Driver
Characteristics
The PSU50 Series driver is a compact driver specially designed for applications where space is limited. Mycom's own IC made this design possible. In addition to the 20 percent reduction in size and weight, the PSU50's power efficiency is approximately 30 percent higher than the comparable UPS50 Series drivers.
These drivers are capable of driving a wide range of 5 Phase Star stepping motors. It can be matched with both the standard PS Series as well as the high torque, high speed PF Series motors. Please refer to torque graphs available for individual motors.
With the PSU50's built-in power supply, there is no need for an external power supply. This is excellent for industrial settings and will simplify the wiring requirements.
